We are living in a world where AI is helping us make decisions and reshaping our thinking, but is it making us smarter or just more gullible? Today, I’ll explain why despite many ground-breaking advancements, today’s AI systems aren’t making us into better thinkers but rather blind followers of AI-generated recommendations. I’ll discuss the potential for AI systems that are designed to engage us in dialogue and questioning, and hence make us more aware and engaged in our thinking to improve AI assisted human decision making. By understanding the power of AI as well as the psychology of human decision making, we can use AI to our advantage, boosting our thinking capabilities and maintaining agency in an increasingly AI-driven world.. .
