For the first time in about 60 years, a steam-powered train pulled into the Morrisons Cove area, outside of Altoona, PA – thanks to the Everett Railroad. 2-6-0 #11 was at the helm for this special trip between Hollidaysburg and Martinsburg – as a matter of fact, the whole day was unique. . . The day starts with a ferry move from the shops in Claysburg, up that branch of the railroad (including some GoPro pacing action), past the depot in Hollidaysburg, to their other shops in Duncansville – travelling over part of Norfolk Southern’s Cove Secondary line to do so – where they pick up the passenger cars, and head back to Hollidaysburg – again via NS – to begin the day’s trips.. . We see some on-board footage from the 11 am “Family Train Ride
