
The Everett Railroad Company’s Steam Locomotive No. 11 pulls an excursion from Hollidaysburg, PA to Roaring Spring, PA. No. 11 is a 2-6-0 “Mogul” type, built in 1920 by the Cooke Works of the American Locomotive Company (Alco) in Paterson, New Jersey. It was intended for export to Cuba for use in that country’s sugar cane fields. Due to changes in world sugar markets after World War I, the locomotive stayed in the United States, finally being purchased by Narragansett Pier Railroad in Peace Dale, Rhode Island in 1923, where it received the number “11”.. .
