ITV’s Sneha Ramachander talks with Director Gil Rivera and lead Prakash Patel of the of upcoming film ‘They Always Win’. . They Always Win is a full-length romantic drama feature film. In this 3-story anthology, we focus on the 3 phases of relationships: pre-relationship, relationship, and post-relationship – from the perspective of the “nice guy”. Although we can’t divulge how our stories end, we can share where the inspiration for this film came from. The conceptualization phase of this project occurred after we began exploring some of our own dating experiences. As reflected upon those experiences, one question kept surfacing “Why do ‘nice guys’ always finish last in the dating game?” The idea that a compilation of our experiences would finally allow us to answer that pesky question, or at the very least highlight our struggles, is the true inspiration for this film. . . They Always Winis a story about people, namely men, who bare their souls in the name of love and companionship, and all the pain and struggles that come along with it. This film promises to be thought-provoking, as it will have you questioning your own ideas of what is truly valuable in a relationship and who, in fact, holds all the power. Although They Always Win is told from the male perspective, it is a film that both men and women will equally relate to.
